GHQ LeClerc MBT
GHQ AMX-30 MBT
This shading on this set of vehicles is what I am shooting for on every one I paint. This model actually represents the later AMX-30B2.
Here's a version of the same tank with a browner paint scheme
A good model of the original AMX-30, armed with the coaxial 20mm gun and without the turret stowage racks.
GHQ AMX-13 Light Tank
I believe these are Skytrex, but I'm not sure
I believe this is theScotai version
I believe this is a Navwar/H&R model
I believe this is a Navwar/H&R model
Export-only vehicle that was ultimately not adopted by anyone. The model is from Skytrex.
A model of the early Cold War AFV from Masters of Military on Shapeways, very well done
A World-War-II-Designed Heavy Tank produced in limited numbers following the war. The fine model is from Masters of Military. I probably should have painted the tracks on the turret in a rust color, but most photos/diagrams of the tank show them in a dark color.

GHQ AMX-10P APC
CinC AMX-10PC APC
Command version of the AMX-10P (actually, one of the pictures is of the 10P and the other the 10PC)
CinC VAB 4X4 and 6X6
Another VAB 4X4
Panhard M3 VBL
I believe this is Scotia, but I'm not certain. Used by the French Gendarmerie, many foreign customers.
New model from GHQ -- it is absolutely fantastic, and far better than that of their rivals.
I believe this is an H&R/Navwar model. It is a good model, but a GHQ version would be better.
Same vehicle, different paint job -- no wash
3D printed model from Kokoda Trail Models
CinC AMX-10RC 105mm armed recon vehicle
Another example with a browner paint scheme
GHQ's Excellent AMX-10RC
This is the same model, painted uses Vallejo's NATO 3-Tone Paint Set
This is the Scotia "updated" AMX-10RC (or perhaps "improved"). Not a good model at all.
CinC ERC-90 Sagaie 90mm-armed recon vehicle
GHQ ERC-90S Sagaie
A 2016 model, and quite a good one
More of the same, different camo schemes
CinC VBC-90 90mm armored car used by Gendarmerie
Light armored car armed with 60mm breach-loading mortar, used world wide
Light armored car with low-pressure 90mm gun, also used world wide
Another version, this one inked with an umber wash
Post-war heavy armored car with a 75mm gun. Several models by UK manufacturers, don't know which.
This is the very good GHQ version, with far more detail.
An interesting model from Scotia that would be much better with more detailed running gear.
Another unique model from Scotia, this one with better detail on the running gear.
Bridging vehicle from Scotia, but casting was poor.
VAB du Genie
Scotia VAB engineering vehicle. This guy required a great deal of trimming to make presentable, but is overall a decent model.
Leguan Bridging Truck
Well, much of one. The casting was bad, and I believe parts were missing, so I just built and painted the truck. Note that there appear to be several versions of the Leguan, and this model from Scotia represents a less-common one.
and Air Defense
CinC AMX30 GCT 155mm Self-Propelled Howitzer
H&R Version of the GCT
A far less impressive model, but for the price quite good
Mid-Cold-War Self Propelled Gun on AMX-13 chassis, used by a number of nations. Model is from Masters of Military. I did not do a great job painting them up.
155mm Cold War Self-Propelled Gun. Model is by Masters of Military. Note that this was the prototype of the final version posted on Shapeways -- the current version has a far superior mount for the gun.
This is a far better model than the skytrex version. As it turns out, this gun was not actually used by France, who used a very similar piece called the TR-155 (IIRC).
CinC AMX30 DCA twin 30mm AA vehicle. Not ultimately adopted by the French Army, it became an export item.
From one of the UK manufacturers, don't know which one
Crotale Radar Vehicle
At least, I think so... from Scotia.
Crotale Missile Vehicle
This is an actual French camo patter.
The SP version of the Roland SAM mounted on the AMX-30 chassis. This model is by Scotia, and was cast by New England Hobby Supply in Manchester, Connecticut, USA.
VBL HOT and VBL MG
Two versions of the VBL from Scotia. I painted the windows black on these models, but I'm not sure I like it as much as I like them a dull shiny grey. Despite the dullcoat, the windows are still rather shiny.
I believe this to be an H&R model. The casting quality is poor and the HOT launcher screams out for a custom built replacement.
This is the Scotia casting of the speculative vehicle. This actual model was cast by New England Hobby Supply in Manchester, Connecticut, USA, who I believe got the molds from SimTac when they went under.
Common Cold War truck from GHQ
Another version, in NATO 3-Tone Camo
GBU-15 Heavy Trucks
From Scotia in both open and closed top versions. Scotia has an extensive line of French vehicles, and many are of decent quality.
VLR Light Trucks
From Scotia -- a fine little model.
Saviem AM8 4 Ton Truck
From Skytrex; not their best model.
Another paint scheme...
|Aircraft and Helicopters|
Model is from Heroics & Ros, and is superior to Skytrex version (see UK listing for example). Includes rotors rather than disks, which is much appreciated.
This is the either the Skytrex or the Scotia version. It is not a great model. The decals are from I-94 Enterprises. I need to get some rotors for these guys.
H&R Model with rotors from a 1/350th naval kit and custom-built HOT launchers
Another version, from another manufacturer
A newer model from GHQ. I really need some better pictures.
H&R model, I-94 Enterprises decals
Model by Skywarrior, accessories out of the parts box
Another version of the same...
A fine model from CinC, though difficult to keep assembled at times.
Skytrex F-8 Crusader model, painted up as an aircraft of French naval aviation.
French carrier-based multi-purpose aircraft from H&R. Decals are French roundels with anchors from I-94's Argentine decal set overlaid.
Working On It... I have a number of H&R troops painted up as legionnaires (although not very convincingly)
